An exciting Area Sales Manager/Product Specialist position has arisen with this leading manufacturer of power tools. They are looking for an experienced Field Sales Executive, Area Sales Manager or Account Manager with a knowledge of power tools/garden machinery to join their team. LOCATION: South Coast from Dorset to Dover. Ideally you will live central to patch in Horsham, Berkshire or Winchester.
SALARY: £27,500 to £28,000 as a basic salary plus commission paid on a 6-monthly basis, and a small portion quarterly as well as company pension, 20 days holiday and £120 a month lunch allowance.
Fully expensed company vehicle is provided & cleaning allowance of £20 per month. Company fuel card provided, and the vehicle can be used for private use. A company credit card is provided and £150 float is given for expenses.
As Area Sales Manager/Product Specialist will be demonstrating and promoting a wide range of power tools and garden machinery to a whole host of customers including holiday parks, caravan parks, golf courses and local councils (to name but a few). You will liaise with the existing of network of distributors, builders’ merchants and electrical wholesalers to feed any potential sales through to the nearest stockist.
You will work very closely with the existing distributors in order to gain leads from them, make an appointment to demonstrate the product and brand to their customer. You will then feed the orders back through to the distributor so as to enhance sales. You often be accompanied by the Distributor Rep.
Territory management and planning experience is key as well the ability to book your own appointments and present face to face.
Successful candidates must have at least 2 years field sales experience and will have previously worked as an Area Sales Manager. You will also have knowledge and experience of using power tools, whether this be for work or for DIY projects at home. Full training will be given but a basic understanding of how to use power tools is essential for the role. If this role sounds of interest, please apply ASAP.
